Recently my Galaxy A50s is having random app loss internet connection, where  I have to restart the phone every time so the app could reconnect.  This is very cumbersome, as it happens daily on random app.

This issue started appearing after upgrading to Android 11.  Have tried multiple way, such as wipe the cache partition, allow background activity for those app, allow all notifs, switch back between mobile data and wifi, to no avail. Also have tried to clear data, cache for the app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the issue still happens.

Only restarting the phone will fix it. But, after a while less than a day, certain app loss internet again, and have to restart again.

Anyone have this experience?

Thank F...K!

This has been driving me nuts!

Please push out a fix for this ASAP!! It's problems like this that make people buy a new phone.

I can confirm this solution worked for me, but I did have to restart my phone to make it work.

Thanks for proving I wasn't going mad!

Hi, I am still experiencing this. It did not work to use your temporary solution. The only solution I've found to work is to reinstall the app that stops working. Now that Google Maps and Google Play stopped working that cannot be reinstalled, makes it problematic.

I have the newest update available: A505FNXXU8CUE4

Phone: A50

Best regards

Hi @Ulfar, thanks for reaching out. If you are unable to update due to Google Play not working. I would suggest trying to uninstall Android WebView updates as a temporary solution. To do this, go to

Settings > Apps > ⋮ > Show system apps > Android System WebView > ⋮ > Uninstall updates

If you cannot find Android System Webview in Apps, please follow the above steps but with Chrome instead.

Once you have done this, try to open the Playstore and reinstall updates.

Hi @Sud0, we found that this was an issue with international variants of devices and as such the release of the update would be dependent on the relevant subsidiary. I would recommend that you reach out to the appropriate subsidiary here for further support on this.

Seem to be having the similar problem on my Galaxy Xcover Pro. Most noticeable on YouTube and Play Store Auto Apps Update (they weren't).

Youtube video starts to play, usually ads then either just after ads or 5sec into video get buffering for 2min then would start to play. The every few minutes more buffering. Same video on PC - no issues (no buffering!). PlayStore - no Apps would update at all so big list building up. Using UltraFast Broadband 800MBPS DOWN/ 500MBPS UP.

Applied latest update this morning (12th June 2021) and still same problem. Tried the Optimise Battery Usage gix and still no success ! Using Android 11 - never happen previously ! Yet on Chrome and webpages - no issues. FRUSTRATING !
