Recently my Galaxy A50s is having random app loss internet connection, where  I have to restart the phone every time so the app could reconnect.  This is very cumbersome, as it happens daily on random app.

This issue started appearing after upgrading to Android 11.  Have tried multiple way, such as wipe the cache partition, allow background activity for those app, allow all notifs, switch back between mobile data and wifi, to no avail. Also have tried to clear data, cache for the app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the issue still happens.

Only restarting the phone will fix it. But, after a while less than a day, certain app loss internet again, and have to restart again.

Anyone have this experience?

Hi, thank you for your feedback. After investigating this issue, we have found this to be due to background app network restriction policies. The next software update should fix this issue, so please ensure you update as soon it is released for your device.

As a temporary solution, please do this: go into Settings > Apps > Taps on three dots on top right corner > Special access > Optimise battery usage> Change "Apps not optimised" to "All". Then, toggle off all affected apps to exclude them from "battery optimise target".

Sorry for any inconveniences. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thanks Samsung team for looking into it and driving towards a solution. Hoping that fixes the problem.

The temporary solution/workaround given above however did not immediately solve the problem for the app which was not having internet connectivity. Maybe I will still have to restart my phone perhaps, but then how would I know if the workaround helped?

same issue here with my S10 phone, I forgot when it was started, but my random apps I would say 2-3 apps lost internet connection. I've tried to switch from wi-fi to mobile connection but it didn't work. My temp solution is always restart my phone when facing this issue, so I think I would restrat my phone once in a 3 days. It's a relief that i'm not the only one that have this issue.

Hi. Even I am facing the same issue. The last update that I installed was on 14th May 2021, still the problem is same. Random apps stop working and then I have restart the device to use those apps. Tried every possible solution, but all failed. What's the issue here ?

The issue is not solved, there were two updates since that answer, and we still experience the same thing.

Hi @ortegor, thank you for letting us know. My best recommendation is to send an error report through Samsung Members app so that our team can assess the issue remotely. To send an error report, follow the steps here: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tips-tricks/sending-error-reports/td-p/9617204

Hi, i had this problem and it was solved after the recent update. But today it happened again. Twitter and play store do not have connection while other apps do and they are all up to date.
