Yesterday, my flashlight suddenly stopped working. This phone is turning one year on November but I still consider it in GREAT CONDITION.

Please run the Diagnostics in Samsung Members App and check if your flashlight is working normally.

If not, this could be a hardware issue. Have your phone checked at the nearest Service Center near you, or call the hotline #GALAXY to voice out your concerns.

Hello Rovic,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We are one Samsung community and we care to help.

I understand your situation right now, feeling a bit worried about your device's torch/flashlight.

But don't be worried, we will sort out what are the main reasons behind your device's issue by checking out and rectify it with the below basic steps:

1) Ensure that your device is up-to-date with the latest Software Updates through Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Download, if available > Install > Follow On-Screen instructions.

2) To check Flashlight function, we can use the Diagnostic test tool under Samsung Members App.

Samsung Members app

https://www.samsung.com/ph/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-diagnostics-in-the-samsung-members-app-...

a) Run Samsung Members and select Get help on the lower half of the screen.
b) Tap, View Tests located under Diagnostics.
c) Tap the Flashlight icon to begin.
d) Your Samsung Galaxy phone will then run through the checks.
e) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check.
f) View your results after the check is complete. Note the actual test results, if there is any.

3) If there is no finding, we can proceed checking the hardware camera back lens. First, we need to unplug the device and its accessories from the power source.

Next, we need to check, look & feel the camera lens for any dust, debris, excess oil, or any foreign object. If there is, clean the lens with tissue or dampened soft cloth. Wipe it dry.

4) Restart your device and test the torch/flashlight if its back to working condition.
