Hi everyone. I tried to restore my new Note 20 from a backup through Smart Switch and somehow in the middle of the restore Ive ended up with a software update crash. I cannot turn the phone off, tried the soft reset by holding down the power and down volume button but it doesn't power down. Tried connecting to smart switch but connection fails. Any ideas or advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi @franklinkon, thanks for reaching out to us. If you are able to use the Samsung Members app, can you send us an error report so that our team may investigate this further?

To do this:

Samsung Members > Get Help > Error Report > Issue category > Description > Tick 'send log data' > Send

These error reports go to our team for analysis, once complete, our team will get back to you with a response which can be viewed from the in-app notification bell.

Alternatively. you may need to perform a factory reset of your device using the physical buttons on the device, if possible. Please make sure you have the Google account (@gmail email address and password) ready to log back into the device once the reset has completed.

The steps on how to perform a factory reset via your buttons are below:

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/how-to-perform-a-factory-data-reset-on-my-mobile-d...

Let me know how it goes.
