Anyone experience Android auto issues with Galaxy s24 plus? Recently it seems like it doesn't want to connect. Sometimes it connects and then drops out and sometimes it does not connect at all.

It seems to be only this phone, our other Samsung Galaxy is fine. Rendered self diagnostics but it doesn't check anything to do with usb-c port

Someone else posted about this issue or similar issue not long ago here...don't know if it was resolved. Think they were waiting for an update. But in the meantime, if you haven't yet, can try forgetting the device and car and reconnecting. Or, if possible, restart the car console. Otherwise, may have to wait for an update if it is a software issue but haven't seem many reports.. could lodge one through app support.

I restarted the phone, but don't know that you can restart the car more than turning it off and on. I wish there was a way of testing the USB port on the phone more than just copying files to the computer

Is your android auto wireless or wired? Are you using a Samsung cord?

Wired only. Samsung doesn't come with a to c cable

Samsung had some or even ones with micro as well...anyhow, have you tried a different cord? Some are saying that you may need to uninstall the last update of android auto and then connect phone in the car and follow prompts to update android auto if it comes up...maybe give this a go?

Mine came with c to c. Anyway other Samsung phone is fine, only this dead. And it does have that Bluetooth error pop up like the other thread

Is there a way to test whether the usb-c port is otherwise working so I know what's wrong? Teaches me to buy Samsung again and again for a critical work phone

Charging is fine, data transfer I'm not sure since most of my cables are c to c now. Some of the c2a cables when you plug into the computer it says slow charging. What does that mean about the cable?
