Galaxy SWhen using my S-Pen (standalone type/model) to open the Air Command Icon to access the listed applications below, the error message "Can't use _NameOfApplication_ while Magnification in use." Where _NameOfApplication_ are the following:
- Magnify
- Glance
- Smart Select
- Bixby Vision
These applications work differently in different scenario:
MAGNIFY | GLANCE | SMART SELECT | BIXBY VISION | |
Scene 1 : Home Screen via Air Command Icon | Doesn't work | Doesn't work | Doesn't work | Doesn't work |
Scene 2 : Secure Folder via Air Command Icon | Doesn't work | Doesn't work | OK | Doesn't work |
Scene 3 : Home Screen via Edge Panel | Not Applicable | Not Applicable | OK | Not Applicable |
Scene 4 : Home Screen via Edge Panel | Not Applicable | Not Applicable | OK | Not Applicable |
Together with Samsung Support, we singled-out the issue as follows:
- The S-Pen is a standalone model which comes together with the official Samsung Case for S21 Ultra.
- The S-Pen is not defective since the applications works in another device (Note 9).
- Smart Select works via the Edge Panel but does not work via the Air Command Icon.
- Other applications from the Air Command Icon also does not work.
- Using Safe Mode does not resolve the issue. The same error happens while in Safe Mode.
- Soft reset does not resolve the issue.
- All applicable Diagnostics (via Samsung Member application) resulted to an OK.

Galaxy SThanks for the suggestion. However I just tried uninstalling the updates for the Aircommand app, then reinstalled but still the issue persist.

Galaxy SYes. Even with the Note 9's S-Pen it doesn't work. But I did not try to pair the Note9's S-Pen because I didn't think it would matter.

Galaxy SThat's weird that those commands aren't working on your unit with any s-pen, possibly a software bug.
Aside from soft reset and safe mode, have you done other work arounds like wiping cache partition?

Galaxy SI tried uninstalling the Aircommand app for the 2nd time and also deleted app data/cache, then reinstalled. For a while the error persisted, but after a few minutes (10 minutes or so) the issue was resolved. I wonder why there was a delay, but it surely helped resolve this issue. thanks.
