I bought 23 ultra from India then move to Australia and i broke the display. I went to customer service i refused me to service the phone. I don't know why Samsung doesn't give international service and warranty like Apple.
Apple is 2 step ahead in terms of warranty and service faculty all over the world.
Samsung should work on it.

Even Apple would be the same. Because different countries have different manufacturing standards and binding legislation surrounding this. So unfortunately Samsung AU is the right to say this because I've never heard of a worldwide warranty guarantee because AppleCare+ has to be used in the same country where the item was bought.

Unlike laptops which aren't locked for network, mobile devices are. Hence there isn't warranty provided for it globally. But, for things such as display though it doesn't cover in warranty they would be able to fix it if it is taken up as an out of warranty service.

Erm, the fruit company doesn't have international warranty.

This is from their pds.

Sounds more of a cop out if they say they have international warranty and actually not offer it later on.SmartSelect_20230906_092350_Samsung Internet_1000063004_1693956230.jpg

The funny thing is, I can purchase an Apple device in one country and buy Apple Care+ from another country for it, which Samsung didn't allow. So in your example, I could purchase the phone in India and buy the Apple Care+ in Australia for it. They would treat it as if the device was purchased in Australia. All you need is an Apple ID from Australia.

Interesting.

Their tnc says otherwise though

(Adh=accidental damage from handling).

Maybe it's only specific countries, but not all. In saying that, I'd get frustrated as hell, expecting I can swap but ending up not to due to this "may".SmartSelect_20230907_234458_Drive_1000063175_1694094299.jpg

Samsung Australia doesn't provide a warranty because they didn't sell it and didn't get a margin of profit from the sale to cover the cost of warranty support. They don't get a subsidy from headquarters to support this extra cost. If there was an equal exchange of sales between countries it might be different but I am sure, with Australian tourist activity and overseas travel very few Australian models are sold overseas.
I think this is poor marketing, leading to loss of future sales and should be addressed by headquarters,
Even more so given Samsung's poor service and bad sales support.
I have one locally bought device, supported, and one "grey" device bought through Kogan, not supported.
There are international models which with international settings updated will work in Australia with the possible exception of 5G which uses different technology.
I am frustrated because I am a mid-range buyer wanting an A54 with dual sim. Insanely Samsung Australia doesn't sell the dual sim model. Insane because, from internet marketing from grey sellers, there is a strong market for it.
For me I have to buy on the grey market or buy another company's phone which is far cheaper with equal features (sometimes better) and does have better support and valid warranty.
I am stil thinking about it
Samsung good product, terrible sales support, bad service support. Recipe for future failure.

Personally, I would agree that Samsung world wide, should offer repairs for damaged screens or back panels.

The customer is paying for it, so why not offer it 🤷‍♂️

From where it bought shouldn't be issue because after all it's Samsung phone. They should provide warranty all over the world.

Warranty is a different subject and more difficult since there are differences in some countries.

But basic repairs such as screens should be available.
