I finally bought S25 ultra in jadegreen after having lot of issues with promo codes and trade in. But that past me, Excited to receive the UUltra!!
I have been using note ever since note8, and samsung since s5.
Anytime I start liking or using it a lot samsung takes away the feature. First IR sensor, then headphones, then SD card (this one still hunts me), now Bluetooth in spen. I know those just 1% number and I guess none cares. But I do and I'm a avid user of samsung spen. The watch doesn't replace spens Bluetooth function at all. The easiness of going to next slide in PowerPoint presentation was such a asset. Spen Bluetooth wasn't just for selfie for normal user but for power users running youtube solely depending on samsung camera's.
My biggest fear now is DEX will be removed. With partnership with Microsoft and google both has their own share sale of pcs and Chromebooks. Although may be less then 1% people use it hope they don't remove this feature but promote it. I think this feature alone has more potential to convert iphone users to samsung then any other feature. Having that flexibility of using the DEX when you got stuck in hotel, overseas, at friends house, or whatever is great. You shoot with your phone, you edit on your phone and upload from your phone when you absolutely need it is just great, the perks of owning a Samsung Ultras, and this year's processor just made it even better. Also thank you for making this awesome feature many many years ago ( S8?) 🍻
I recently set up DEX and hope they keep it. The biggest problem is Samsung's software support.
I recently had to prepare a submission and this was incredibly difficult as apps opened when in DEX divide into two, those which open the original app and those which open in a DEX version, requiring a re-entry of a password. And then incredibly difficult to cut and paste between apps. I literally had to send myself an email with the content then being copied into a version to replace copy and paste.
Also a better solution for right clicking is needed. I have found insufficient explanations of this and an explanation and menu should be part of the core prooduct.
Initial setup instructions need to be rewritten with making the experience similat to Microsoft.to make it easier to learn. Not as important as the above issues but what needs to be covered is installing a basic monitor which doesn't have batteries.
Make no mistake DEX is brilliant but it is being let down by failure in supporting it properly.
