Any thoughts with the new iphone vs S23 ultra?

I'm planning to get the Ultra but a friend who's a fan of Iphone said that even though the ultra has 200mp, the new iphone is better cam specially the night view. For background, I used both Iphones and Samsung phones before, the last one the 6splus and for Samsung, the s10plus. I do love apple Ipad never tried the newer tab verions tho. I do love Samsung phones specially the cam and the customization and things like that. I do think that sinxe I already have a S10plus, maybe I should get the Iphone. I haven't checked the specs on the new Iphone though.

Hello i checked the specs of iphone 15 pro max. It has 5x optical zoom vs 10x optical zoom for the s23 ultra. Digital zoom is 25x while s23 allows 100x. I am a life long iphone user but I go to alot of concerts and take alot of footage aka "crumbs" and s23 gets the best footage. This is also the consensus among the Kpop communities I belong in. For me s23 ultra takes the cake for me.

Night mode: i currently use iphone 14 and zflip5 and zflip 5 gets me better shots in low light conditions with sharper images. I cant say yet abt s23 since i havent done side by side test.

Cost: 15pro max slightly mas mahal. Also some CC discounts with samsung also widen that price gap even further

You should wait for the s24 ultra since the camera upgrade rumors to be groundbreaking especially the optical zoom and larger sensor. But if you can't then for me, I'll choose s23 ultra. There are bias reviews by blogger on the internet so I often check comments to find out more.

A photographer commented on a certain review and according to that person, s23 ultra takes better photos than iPhone 15 because of the balance in contrast. Another person who study photography agrees with him and prefer the shots taken by s23 ultra. But when it comes to shooting videos iphone 15 does better. Maybe due to processing. But s23 ultra has the edge when you want to shoot far videos like concert because of its 10x optical zoom

Waaah i wanted to wait for S24 BUT i have a few concerts lined up and need a better camera to use since I cant always be in soundcheck or VIP. Its getting harder for me to be on my feet all night 🫠
