Got my S20 Ultra from Smart Communications last April 2020. This is my 1st Samsung phone. Got my 3M stickers at the back, screen protector, armoured casing. Absolute protection from physical damages was applied.

Until I noticed slight flickering 2 weeks ago. I just ignored it. Until last July 19, the screen went completely green and unusable. Referred the problem to samsung service center. They didn't see any physical defect on it. Service report said that screen needs to be replaced. Total cost is 10580 pesos. I got no choice but to proceed..

Hey Samsung. This is not suppose to happen on a premium device. Durability comes with your flagship series. Consumers are paying for it. I've read a lot of problems regarding flickering and green screens in the s20 series. I hope you look into this matter.

**Will update about the repair after 3-5 days..

Happened to me as well. Started with flickering then my phone eventually turned to completely white/green screen. Went to Samsung Service center and I was told that this is an isolated issue and that I have to pay 13k for screen replacement. I did not agree to it as it felt unfair as I am 100% sure that I did not physically damaged my phone. Reading similar cases online, and due to their experiences as well (several users claimed that this was caused by bug due to recent update and that they have revived their phones), I pulled out my unit last 07/26. My phone surprisingly went back to normal when I tried to turn it on when I got home. Felt really disappointed as they have only advised me to replace my screen as their resolution instead of acknowledging my claim and finding the true root cause of the issue 🤷‍♀️ my screen seemed to be working fine for several days now but I am still afraid to use it full time thinking that the flickering will eventually recurr. I really hope that samsung will finally acknowledge and provide the free assistance/repair that we rightfully need.

After the green tint screen i was left with this visible horizontal flickering lines (its so distracting when watching/playing games) it goes away sometimes and it will reappear again. I already do all their troubleshooting guide, but the issue still persist. I also went to their service center and their tech team told that maybe it was caused by a software bug and suggested on getting the screen to be replaced including the battery at around 13k php. I refuse though because its not my fault for having a defective unit and also got trust issues because maybe when the software update comes, the problem will come back again. I also read that the s21 is having the same problem (screen flickering and glitching) so option for upgrading is meh)..Screenshot_20210808-215415_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20210808-213034_Gallery.jpg

Take note of the "software bug"... I was also told the same reason at the service center. The software installed is from the company. It's not a 3rd party software. It's just irritating that samsung is not doing anything with this issue. Consumers are yet to suffer from a lemon hardware.. For sure Samsung loyalty is affected. They'll be switching to other brands imo.

True, their software update is breaking the s20 series 😞. And yes they are making a blind eye to it, lucky its not an isolated case.

Those are scan lines. I saw that a few hours before my display turned white. Scan lines appearing on a display is never a good sign because that can indicate that the driver circuitry of the OLED panel cannot keep up with the frames being put out by the phone's GPU and when that circuit fails, the screen fails too. That driver circuit is built into the display so replacing the entire panel will fix it.

They release a faulty update intentionally so people will cashout for repair or buying new phones from them!

Nope. It's not update related. One of our members in the FB group HAS NEVER APPLIED ANY UPDATES to his S20 since he bought it. (Auto Update turned off) But the screen still turned white after a year.
