I specifically waited for the S20 Ultra with Samsung promising amazing photos with the new lenses.

 

I am so disappointed after spending the high price on this phone. My S8 took better photos. The 100x zoom is a gimic.

The software updates seem to fix some things, & then ruins others in the camera space. Currently panorama photos are great, & wide angle shots are super distorted. Camera never wants to focus when I need it to & you can't tap a spot you want it to focus on, locking focus would be awesome if you can get it to actually focus on the item. 

Wish I had gone with a Note instead. I think I'll be considering an Apple next, have been android  always, but I'm over this phone & bitterly disappointed in the product.

Hi Aramat, thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback. In regard to your camera focus, the gestures were changed on One UI 3.1 to include a tap and hold, rather than a tap to manually focus. Is your phone still unable to focus while doing this?

I'm having the same issue on my Samsung galaxy s20 ultra this is so f***ing s**t. If you google it then you see numerous people have the same issue with the camera not focussing on. How does Samsung not understand that this is a broad wode ranging issue. Get it together. About to lose a long time customer to Apple.

Hi @Daisytepa, I am sorry to hear about the issues you've had with your device. I suggest sending through an error report through to our team via the Samsung Members app, with a short screen recording of the focus issue you have been experiencing so we can investigate this further. 

To do this: 

Samsung Members. app > Get Help > Error Reports > Camera > Describe issue > Attach video evidence > tick 'Send log data' > Send.
