I'm having the hardest time with my s25 ultra camera. The photos I take are overly processed and look almost cartionish with blurred out details. I tried to return the phone as I was convinced the phone is faulty however, the technician came back with a report that the phone is to their manufacturing standards. I can't exchange and get a refund even though I returned it after 4 days because Samsung Australia doesn't do returns. I was willing to trade it for an s24 or even s23 but Samsung declined

I'm now stuck with a $2000 phone which i absolutely dislike.

I'm as a loss for how terrible my experience has been with Samsung this past month. many years being a loyal customer means absolutely nothing to Samsung.

If you open your camera app and go into the settings via the gear icon, then "Intelligent optimisation", there's an option at the bottom called "Scene optimiser" you can turn on/off. Try that perhaps.

Open Camera App > Gear/Settings Icon Top Left Corner > Intelligent optimisation > Set it to Minimum, Medium.
If you still have trouble with your S25U, don't stress and just ask the community 😁

Thank you, I've turned off the scene optimiser and picture softening and set intelligent optimization to minimum. The issue seems to be with low light conditions and motion. I wish there was a way to completely turn off the auto processing that happens after the picture is taken

Yes it's much better. All the other modes seem okay. The issue mostly lies with the default photo mode which is the one I use a lot, mostly out of habit. See these 2 pictures for comparison, the first one is what I have issues with, and it unfortunately happens on second picture I take20250324_093916_1000025339_1742769559.jpg20250324_093919_1000025340_1742769560.jpg

It's all set by default,
Samsung turns all camera settings and puts them all to maximum settings and stuff to take clean, not blurry, pixilated, photos.
If you hold the pro camera in the "More" selection and drag and drop it where the "Photo" mode (replace the photo mode with the pro version) you can take clean raw photos

There is actually a "man in the middle " attack that puts an overlay on your photos and videos and makes cartoon characters and other things out of the surroundings. I've been trying to get help for a while (4 years) and nobody knows anything. I'm on my 4th phone under a different name and provider and it's still happening. Previously had iphones. This is my first Samsung. I love that Samsung can send you reports of all data.
My phone data is showing a different device with a fake model number that doesn't exist.
Does your overlay look like a sheer sheet that's been folded? Or is it smokey overlay? I get both
