Samsung message app crashing S24 ultra

Hi 

Does anyone know or know how to fix the message app from crashing. Every time I go into the app and start typing the app shuts me out or crashes.

 It was happening before I updated to the new software. So I thought it meant I needed to update. I did that and it still would crash. So then I cleared the cache and it still crashes.

I'm a bit stuck at what to do next, any advice or instructions on what to do next would be helpful. Thank you

I am having the same problem (started occurrring today - S21 Ultra). I have tried closing and re-opening the app, and restarting my phone, but it still keeps crashing every time I open it. Most annoying.

did you clear data too of the message app? just because this way it reset the whole app and make sure before do anything to do a backup of the messages just in case

How do I clear the messages data? (I have backed everything up.)

I've cleared the cache and data. When I reopened the app, there was nothing there of course, but then everything very quickly reappeared strangely. Regardless, doing this has not stopped the problem unfortunately.

settings-> apps-> then tap on the app you use -> scroll down to storage-> you will see clear cache on the right and clear data on the left

clear data will clear everything of the app and reset it as new and I will suggest after clear data and cache to restart the phone and open the app after to see if that help

I will do the same with the keyboard you use just in case it's the keyboard crashing and filling the memory and make the app not responsive and end up on crashing

This is caused by an update to the Google meet app. Disable that app.
