I would like to know if something's wrong with updating my phone. My S20 5G was purchased in the US and I'm using this right now in the Philippines. There's this notification of update but when I click it, it always show this *see photo below*. If someone can enlighten me, I would appreciate it so much. If Samsung Team can respond to this, it would be amazing.

Hey there, AlbertReyes! Have you changed your Samsung account region? 😊 You can check this and if you have, let's wait it out like it says. 🕛

If your phone still won't update, you can go ahead and clear your cache before trying again! Something might just be blocking your update.

Here's how you can clear your cache:

  1. Go to Settings > Battery and device care
  2. Tap Optimize now
  3. Once complete, tap Done

You can also completely wipe your cache partition. Doing so clears out temporary files from your phone's operating system. It also cleans up any extra files from apps you have already uninstalled. This can help resolve some issues as it clears out potential bugs. It's completely safe, and here's how you can do it, if you're interested:

  1. Turn off device
  2. Connect your device to a computer
  3. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons
  4. Once the Android recovery screen shows up, release all buttons
  5. Use the Volume Down button to hover over "Wipe cache partition"
  6. Press the Power button to select "Wipe cache partition"
  7. Use the Volume Down button to hover over "Yes"
  8. Again, use the Power button to select and confirm your choice
  9. Wait for the system to wipe the cache
  10. Reboot your device like normal

Let us know how it goes! 😊

I can't change my account region, it's like it's been set and won't let me change it. About the "connecting to computer process", I have yet to wait for my cousin to let me borrow his computer. I'll let you know as soon as I get the results

Hello, I've done the "wipe cache partition" method and still does the issue said above. Is waiting all I can do?

Hi as of now I've seen a lot of credible articles about Samsung Updates specifically the new One Ui 6 and Android 14 update, and as far as I've seen, sadly S20 will not be covered by the said update. And now I'm more curious about the issue that I've originally posted since there's no update coming on my S20 so why does it have a notification that says I need to update mine? This notification bothers me because it's been going on for 2-3 months and hasn't been resolved yet. And oh, my phone were bought on US and got shipped here by my aunt, I could'nt use any sim carrier that's applicable here in Philippines so I had it unlocked, if that's what making the problem is, I think you should know. If there's I need to do, please let me know 🙏🏻 Thanks
