Help please!

I've just started using the s24+ and am having great difficulty viewing new videos on a PC without purchasing HEVC Video Extensions on each PC. The issue is that I videoed my son's homework presentation, but we cannot email it to the teacher unless the teacher or the school buys the extension. I feel like I've gone back into the dark ages!

I have Googled, YouTubed, downloaded VLC, explored Samsung DeX and am desperate for my new videos to be transferrable and not locked to Media Player! Its extortionate to buy a new phone then be made to purchase an app to be able to use the phone in its entirety, and freely!

Please help!

Hi,

This issues can be fixed by just change the camera setting.

Camera Setting:
-Advanced Video Options -> Video Format : Change from HEVC to H.264 (Please see the picture)

Convert Existing Video in HEVC to H.264 Format:
-Go to Gallery -> Select the video that want to convert -> Edit the Video (Pencil Icon) -> Select on 3 dots on the top right corner -> Select "Size and Formart" -> Select the video size -> Change "Video Fomart" from "HDR10+" to "SDR" -> Change "Video Codec" from "HEVC" to "H.264" -> Click "Done" -> Click on "Save" 🙂1708253078571.jpg1708253078603.jpg

Thank you so much! I was going crazy last night trying to fix the issue. Took two seconds and I didn't need to look at the pictures. 😂Have an awesome day!

Hello,

Try editing the video and changing the format to the 'most compatible'.
