I need the battery replaced in my S9+ but when speaking to online support about booking a service, I was told turn around would be 24-72 hours even if I take the phone into a service centre. Why does Samsung not do same day service like Apple? I can't be without my phone for 24 hours as it's used for things like 2FA etc...
I believe Samsung doesn't do their own assessment/servicing. It gets sent via express (maybe even courier) to another company. My own personal experience has been 24 hours, though from what I understand, they say 72hrs just in case if there are other issues (which they would tell you).

Thanks for the reply. I just need a battery swapped out which local stores quote a turn around of an hour but I'd prefer it was done by an authorised repairer but can't be without my phone for long. 24 hours would be a real hassle but any longer than that would be not possible. I need my phone to login to certain sites due to 2FA.
