This image is one of a number of image downloads from my OneDrive account, and resides in the Downloads folder in the Gallery app on my ZFlip phone.

I wanted to free up some space on the phone by clearing out the Downloads folder, and was somewhat disturbed by the above message when I went to delete this particular image.

As a long-term Microsoft user, any downloads I made to either my previous Microsoft phone or laptop was automatically downloaded as a COPY. This meant the original stayed in the OneDrive account, as the ultimate backup and resource, never to be touched until I made a deliberate choice regarding that item.

I appreciate the beauty of synchronising various devices and the information contained therein, and the to-ing and fro-ing between those devices that makes life so much easier.

However, I suggest it is a dangerous concept to delete items from an online server, such as OneDrive (after 30 days in the Recycle Bin), as would happen if the above-noted message is to be believed. I certainly do not wish to continually spend time having to go into the OneDrive Recycle Bin to restore those items that really should not be deleted, just because they've been moved into the Recycle Bin on my phone. And if they are restored again online, does that mean they will restore again on my phone? That would be weird, but, then, anything is possible with computing!

Therefore, I think the Samsung smartphone engineers should consider disconnecting the link between the Downloads folder and the Recycle Bin on the phone or laptop, and the Recycle Bin in the online server, such as OneDrive in my case.

I hope I am clear in my intent with these thoughts and suggestion.
