Can't use [LG] webOS TV UJ6300 with SmartThings

I was under the impression that samsung Smart Things was built to give me access to all the smart devices. When I tried to register the tv to smart thing for bixby to be able to turn it on or off, it doesn't seem to recognize it. Anyone can tell me why this is? Is it because it exclusively works with samsung smart tv only?

Yes.. as far as i know. Smarthings are for samsung smart tv only.. unless i am wrong ...

This is a total let down and defeats the purpose of having bixby.

I'm not sure if your tv is compatible to any smart assistant devices.. if it's compatible you can use google assisstant for those commands to your tv..
