Good morning. Sir, this is the possible problem why your photo and video will not visible after saving to your external storage, your photos are visible in My Files but are not in the Gallery app, these files may be set as hidden. This prevents Gallery and other apps from scanning for media. To solve this, you can change the option for showing hidden files. I hope this will help to restore your file. Thank you. Stay safe!

From the looks of it, your SD card may be fake. How much did you buy this? Any links so we can verify its authenticity?

If it was hidden in the first place, it shouldn't be the case because hiding files isn't automatic. File corruption usually happens on fake SD cards.

I'm questioning the authenticity of this SD card just by the picture. Pero what I would recommend on doing is reformatting that card using a PC and then try using it again on your phone to see if that would work.

Hello allanPeseral,

Thank you for letting us know about your unpleasant experience with your recently bought Samsung microSD memory card that you've used to store pictures and video on.

Below are some common issues why you can't view your stored/saved photos & videos in SD (Secure Digital) card.

1) Non-genuine Samsung products.

When quality and reliability matters, only Genuine Samsung Accessories will help you make the most out of your Samsung Mobile (Cell Phones, Tablets).

Ensure you buy only from the legit and authorized Samsung Experience Store. You can bother to ask the Samsung Experience Store representative for available Samsung genuine products.

2) Unformatted.

Step 1.  From the phone menu, select "settings."

Step 2. Once in settings, go to Phone Storage.

Step 3. Tap on the SD card.

Step 4.  A page will display SD card details on the screen. Tap on "Format SD Card."

Step 5. The device displays a confirmation window. Choose Yes, and the device will start formatting the memory card.
