Noted something I could never quite understand a while back and wondered if anyone else also saw it.

I USED to find the Always on Display function of my phone very useful....at least that was until they took away the brightness options.

Even with the auto brightness turned off (for the phone in general) when the phone is locked and I tap the screen in the dark I cannot see the AOD info due to some kind of auto brightness that is force applied reducing the brigtness to almost nothing.

This effectively makes the AOD useless in low light. Which is a real shame because I used to love that feature.

Is it too much to ask Samasung to STOP removing the things your customers find useful?

Galaxy Note 1-4 had an IR blaster because ALL new appliances come with IR remotes, they still do today.

I sometimes feel like Samsung does not want us to be customers at all...I could be wrong but it sure seems that way.

Thanks for the reply but I have tried all of those settings 🙏 none of them make a difference. Have you tested AOD on your own device? You should be able to replicate it. If you shine a light on the light sensor the AOD display suddenly brightens up 🤷 Or do it reverse turn tbe room lights on and make a shadow over the phone light sensor, you should see AOD dim 🤔
