I've had a Gear Sport for about 2 weeks and I was having no issues. I noticed when I woke up Friday morning that the watch had recorded when I went to bed and when I got up but there was no other data. I had to choose the record sleep manually. It happened again last night.
I have restated both the watch and the phone.
I have also noticed that for the last two days the heart rate monitor lights are always flashing. I have even tried turning off the HR monitor then restarting the watch. Even with the HR monitor set to only manual record the lights are still flashing. In fact I had taken the watch off to do something and it registered a heart rate of 155 BPM while not on my wrist. This has also started to have a negative impact on the battery life.
I was hoping that someone would have some advice before I do a full factory reset.
Gear Sport model SM-R600 running Tizen 3.0.0.2
Phone is Galaxy note 8 Android 8.0

I got it figured out. Sadly, not until after a factory reset.
It turned out that it was the watchface that was causing the HR monitor to run nonstop.
At least I now know how to do a reset and I know it will restore all my data and settings.
Live and learn.

Hi @Xevaster, thanks for the update. Its unfortunate that you had to reset! Which watch-face was causing the issue? -Nick from Samsung
