Bixby
I am currently utilizing Google Genimi Assist, which has been performing satisfactorily and consistently receives new features. I felt Bixby is like a cortana in old windows, I dont want both Gemini and Bixby on my phone so I am trying to disable it and replace the gestures with Gemini assistant. I believe it would be advantageous to integrate third-party AI applications into phones to enhance their functionality as assistants. After seeing OpenAI 4o demo it would be great to have that on my phone default AI assistant..

Hi, while you can't remove Bixby from your phone, there are some things you can do if you want to stop using it so that Bixby will stop popping up, such as remapping the Bixby key.

Note: Removing your Samsung account from the phone will remove and reset your existing Bixby data. Bixby won't work again until you set it up again.

Reset Bixby, if you do this, Bixby will stop appearing when you press and hold the Bixby key. To reset Bixby, navigate to and open Settings. Tap Apps, and then swipe to and select Bixby Voice. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear data. Tap OK to confirm, but remember, all your previous Bixby data will be reset. Next, tap Clear cache to completely refresh Bixby.

Now when you press the Bixby key, Bixby's initial setup screen will appear, but it won't ask for voice commands unless you go through the setup process. If needed, go through the setup process to get Bixby working again.

I don't believe you can fully delete Bixby.

There is Bixby Voice (claasic) and now with OneUI 6.1 there is also Bixby Vision.

But within a Settings there is an option to 'leave Bixby within Bixby Voice Settings.

Just remember Google Gemini although installed may suppling Google Assistant, it still requires a constant internet connection to work. So if you're a transit commuter via underground rail or at work in an area that requires structural integrity in the building, close to say elevators that may affect mobile network data if you don't have Wi-Fi at work. 1715657760062.jpg
