Hi all,

I want to manually backup my notes on my Galaxy Tab S8+.

However, when I browse the com.samsung.android.app.notes folder, all the folders appear as empty.

I assume the notes are there, just hidden.  I have ticked show hidden files but still nothing.

I want to run a backup app on this location so it auto backs them up for me.

How can I get access to the actual notes.  I'm not interested in exporting PDF files etc, I want to original data backed up.

Even when I plug the tablet into my computer, I still can't see the notes in my file browser.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi @rrrrr1245, thanks for reaching out. In this scenario, the alternative option would be to export your files as documents from the Samsung Notes app.

I have a large number of notes. I have just checked the actual app and my data file is more than 23 Mb which is quite large for just being text (although you can store pictures, etc. I have almost nothing other than text). I suspect that that is where my information is stored but if so may not be viewable without the app. Samsung notes keeps converting my old notes to a new update so I suspect you need to export to ensure a proper backup.
