A55 signal always drops to edge and stays there

Just got my A55 last Saturday, and I thought all was fine til I went out the house.

In places I frequent where I always get a steady 5g signal with my Xiaomi and 4g signal with my old A50, the A55 goes to 5g then goes to edge. It stays on edge unless I turn airplane mode on/off or reboot the phone. 

I switched the sim cards from my Xiaomi and A55, but the Xiaomi still maintains a full 5g signal while the A55 goes to edge and stays there. Both sims are on the same network too. 

Is there something I need to tweak? Or is this a defective unit?

Edit: posting on my A55 and of course it didn't post the first time due to network issues. This is frustrating

My office bought 8 units with new contracts from Vodacom, all doesn't go above 2 bars on mobile network regardless of where you are.  We are busy trying to return these phones. Sammust recall this phone to preserve their integrity

I've had my A55 5G for a few weeks and have the same problem as the OP.

- A55 5G I have 0 out of 4 bars while in 5G/LTE/3G/2G (Switch to 3G/2G and I get 3 out of 4 bars).

- S20 Ultra in the same spot I have 4 out of 4 bars in 5G/LTE/3G/2G

- S10+ in the same spot I have 5 out of 5 bars in 5G/LTE/3G/2G

The A55 5G is a great device but the signal strength is VERY poor.

Same problem. The mobile data signal dropping is less frequent than last May 2024 but still happens.

I have the same problem as well. Always E signal in my A55 even if I am in Makati area where all areas habe 5G coverage already.

***, I thought I was going insane about the signal droppings, Like what the actual Fudge, i can NEVER get reliable Lte inside my house or even inside stores or outside, it's always drops to edge or H which basically doesn't work and I have to turn on airplane mode for 15 seconds then it shoots back to LTE and after like one to two minutes it literally just goes back to edge, My old phone which was a pixel 7a never ever had this problem even with the s***** processor, and even before that my Samsung a30s never had this problem nor did my old Xiaomi mi 4, I don't know why isn't Samsung fixing this insane problem, I literally got stuck multiple times in the city since the online payments didn't work and I couldn't buy anything or stop a taxi, this s*** so annoying, I'm literally saying money right now to buy another pixel, The second I go back to Samsung after Pixel it's just all downers, I thought I had a defective model but no s***'s insane and everyone has the same problem
