A55 signal always drops to edge and stays there

Just got my A55 last Saturday, and I thought all was fine til I went out the house.

In places I frequent where I always get a steady 5g signal with my Xiaomi and 4g signal with my old A50, the A55 goes to 5g then goes to edge. It stays on edge unless I turn airplane mode on/off or reboot the phone. 

I switched the sim cards from my Xiaomi and A55, but the Xiaomi still maintains a full 5g signal while the A55 goes to edge and stays there. Both sims are on the same network too. 

Is there something I need to tweak? Or is this a defective unit?

Edit: posting on my A55 and of course it didn't post the first time due to network issues. This is frustrating

The same situation. Really disturbing. Disappointed in Samasung, will be switching to another brand.

I have the same issue with my a55 i got from globe plan. Very disappointing especially when I need to reply to an important email.

I have the same issue with my A55 in Macedonia. Did someone find a solution or Samsung responded to all of customers that have this issue with Samsung A55 phones?

even in Macedonia? i thought this issue is limited only here in the philippines. so far, there is no acknowledgement of this issue from samsung.

Same issue, bought it yesterday. Ful 5g then after gaming a few minute it drops to 4g. And also it overheats a lot. First samsung i buy. 😞

I have the same, I have noticed it since last week. It's sad to see that so many people are here with the same issue. I hope that Samsung says something here about the issues that we are all facing
