Hi Fromadiva,

We are sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Galaxy A71. Please try some possible solutions for both concerns.

Charging Port Issue:

Since the Galaxy A71 does not support wireless charging, the charging port is essential for powering your device. If your charger is not staying securely connected, please try the following:

  • Check for debris: Dust, lint, or dirt inside the port can prevent a secure connection. Try gently cleaning the port using a soft brush, compressed air, or a toothpick.
  • Test with a different cable and charger: Sometimes, the issue is with the charging cable rather than the port itself. Using an official Samsung charger is recommended.
  • Inspect for damage: If the port appears loose or physically damaged, a repair may be necessary. You can visit an authorized Samsung service center for further assistance.

If you're only able to hear calls when on speakerphone, this could indicate an issue with the earpiece speaker. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check Volume Settings: Ensure the call volume is turned up during a call by using the volume buttons.
  2. Restart Your Device: A simple reboot may resolve temporary software glitches.
  3. Clean the Earpiece Speaker: Dust or dirt may be blocking sound. Gently clean the speaker grille using a soft brush.
  4. Test in Safe Mode: If a third-party app is interfering, booting into Safe Mode can help determine if that is the cause.
  5. Try Headphones or Bluetooth Audio: If sound works fine through headphones or a Bluetooth device, the internal speaker may need repair.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend reaching out to a Samsung Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and repair.

Thank you.

If the plug won't go in all the way into the charging port, it is full of debris.

I have tried picking out the debris with toothpick and vacuum.    No success.     So I take it in to a cell-phone repair shop and in 5 minutes and $10 the get it good as new.

I had an A71 before my S23 FE, it was a good phone, well built, but it always had issues, from charging to display issues. What I found worked was cleaning debris from the speaker holes, alongside the charging port, and if that doesn't work, factory resetting. I factory reset my A71, 3 times.
