I posted under Smartphones/A and did not get an answer. Reposting here.

I have Galaxy A14 5G with Android version 13. I selected Camera Settings, Shooting methods and "Voice commands" is not present. It has "Press volume key to", "Floating shutter button", and "Show palm." I cleared Data and Cache but that did not help.

Why was "Voice Commands" removed as a choice?

Hello there!
Have you tried installing Camera Assistant to see if it brings the option back?

Funny. I opened Galaxy Store on my phone and searched for "Camera Assistant" but it didn't show up. I searched on a desktop and found it. I installed from the desktop and it said that it would be installed soon. Nothing after 5 minutes. I'll post again if it every shows up. Thanks for the tip!

Hi, can you please confirm is this option in Camera settings available before the software update?

I don't know since it is a new phone and it was gone the first time I checked.

My wife's phone Galaxy A50 Android version 11 has "Voice commands." Perhaps it went away between 11 and 13?

Thanks to all who posted! I ended up installing Open Camera which allows a voice command to start the capture.
