Hello 캍,

We are here to help and understand that it can be frustrating to be in your situation right now.

But do not worry; we are here to give solutions to your problem.

Initially, Samsung charging problems occurred due to many reasons. Some are related to software and some related to hardware. In such cases, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issues.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

These are likely the causes as to why your device might not charge, and most can be fixed without any extra support. The most common reasons for a device failing to charge are:

- Faulty cable, charger, socket, or adapter
- Dirt or debris in the charging port
- Third-party apps interrupting the charging
- The software update is required

If still not working, please check other possible reasons below:

- Check your charger.
- Clean the charging port.
- Check for water and moisture.
- Reboot your device.

Turn off your phone, plug it in, and then turn it back on.

Yes. Try charging it in Safe mode. This happened to me but it was a hardware issue. I accidentally dropped it, and the issue happened.

If you can charge in Safe mode, then it's the third party apps that prevents you from charging. Uninstall these apps to avoid issues like this. To uninstall an app, go to Settings > Apps > (app name) > Uninstall, then tap OK. Did you recently installed any apps?
