Initially, Samsung charging problems occurred due to many reasons. Some are related to software and some related to hardware. In such cases, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issues.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
These are likely the causes as to why your device might not charge, and most can be fixed without any extra support. The most common reasons for a device failing to charge are:
- Faulty cable, charger, socket, or adapter
- Dirt or debris in the charging port
- Third-party apps interrupting the charging
- The software update is required

Galaxy A1. Press and hold the power button.
2. Tap and hold Power off.
3. Tap Safe mode.
To go into Safe mode with the device powered off:
1. Press and hold the power button.
2. When "Samsung Galaxy powered by Android" shows, release the power button.
3. When the Samsung or Samsung Galaxy logo appears, press and hold the volume down button. Keep holding the volume down button until the lock screen appears.
4. If you did it correctly, "Safe mode" will appear on the bottom left of your screen.
