missing yahoo contacts

when I compose an email with the samsung mail app my yahoo contacts do not appear automatically. the samsung app has been configured with my yahoo account as the default. How do I get my contacts to appear

Did you grant the email app permission to access your contacts?

Well with Gmail when you first install it - When you start to type an email address it will ask you for permission - If you're using Samsung email - And it hasn't - Settings - Apps - Samsung email - Scroll down to Permissions & verify that it has permissions to use your Contacts - Storage etc.
In the screenshot below - Toggle Contacts to the Right - Mine is off because I don't use Samsung email 😉
