Samsung Health Incompatible with A70 Phone

I have a Galaxy A70 phone and I recently bought a Galaxy Watch 3, so I tried to activate Samsung Health on the phone. It will not work. I get the same error messages quoted above.

I was on tech support chat with a couple of different agents on separate occasions. One got me to reset the Watch, which was an annoying and fruitless process. The second agent got me to update (which I had already done when I bought the watch), then offered to write me a ticket to return the watch.

The watch seems to work perfectly. It is the Samsung Health app on my A70 that seems to be the problem. (I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Health app several times).

I installed Samsung Health on an older Samsung S7 phone and the app starts up fine. But on the A70 it always hangs up on the error message.

I have successfully wiped the cache partition on the A70. That too has not fixed the problem.

This is very frustrating and I am led to the conclusion that Samsung needs to fix an incompatibility between the Samsung Health app and the A70 phone. Please tell me what else I can do.

By the way, Samsung tech support agents should be told of this issue. It should be in an FAQ they access if someone asks for help. Imagine!  One agent told me I should return my brand new Samsung Watch 3 for warranty repair. That's not acceptable.

I tried this reset and update several times and it didn't work. Now, after a couple of months of not bothering with it, I clicked on the "Samsung Health" app on my phone and it works! Maybe somebody listened and did some trouble-shooting.  Anyway, thank you.

Hi hjtoby,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I suggest you to perform the clear cache of the Samsung Health app on your phone and make sure that the phone and the app are updated to the latest version and get back to us with the results.
Go to Settings> Apps> Select the Samsung Health app> Tap on Storage> Select Clear cache.
You can verify the app updates from the play store or Galaxy store.
Please note that Samsung always recommends keeping the device up to date to get a better experience.

I contacted customer care about the same issue. I was told that it was not available on this particular device. Not acceptable, if you ask me.
