Hi all, I have an A5 2017 and it doesnt seem to support Volte .

I went through settings, connections, mobi lke networks but its not listed so does that mean I need to g et another phone before aug 31 when old 3g/ 4g switched off

I think you know this already. (Edited) 3G phones used 3g for phone calls and 3g for data. 4g phones used 3g for phone calls and 4g for data. With 3g being turned off there are a number of 4g phones that don't have the ability to process phone calls. Volte ("voice over") means that the ability to make phone calls has been added as an additional feature. Some phones can't have this feature added due to old hardware. So when 3g ends we have 4g phones that can't handle phone calls, 4g phones that have volte added and can process phone calls and newer phones where it is built in when you buy them. This doesn't answer your question. I don't know if your phone can have volte added. Virginplus uk says it can be, another website listing samsung phones which can have volte doesn't include your model. One thing you can try is to view YouTube videos that show you how to enable volte as it has to be turned on. This will teach you how to search your phone to check. A new phone costing less than $100 will have volte plus features your old phone doesn't have.
