Galaxy BooksNow that Device Care is replacing the Samsung update app, it does not have the option of choosing which updates to install, only an install all updates button. This is a major problem due to the inclusion of McAfee Antivirus in the update list. Please do not force your users to install McAfee just to receive system updates. This has been reported on reddit as well. Samsung Device Care McAfee Update. : r/GalaxyBook (reddit.com)
Would someone be able to either remove McAfee from the update list or add an option to choose which updates to install? Other wise few of the Galaxy book users will install any system updates.

Galaxy BooksHi Engturtle,
We are sad to hear that you’re experiencing a significant inconvenience with the new Device Care app replacing the Samsung update app.
Hopefully, it will be addressed at the earliest and provide a more flexible solution for Galaxy Book users in future updates!
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Galaxy BooksThere should be an excluded list, so we can add McAfee to this list! I don't wanna use McAfee, but I wanna my drivers updated!

Galaxy BooksNo, Helenna, this wasn't a mistake—it's intentional. It’s clear that Samsung has an agreement with McAfee to push their software onto our devices. This is a disappointing, money-driven tactic, similar to what Microsoft does with their OS.
It shows us, the consumers, that these companies are willing to sell out for profit.
An option like this should be transparent by design. Why is McAfee appearing in my Samsung laptop updates? It’s not Samsung software, nor is it something I initially installed. If they insist on including it, it should be in a dedicated section, like in the old Driver Update software. It’s clear they’re trying to push these installations on users due to an existing agreement.

Galaxy BooksSame issue here too. I use Norton, so do not want to take the chance Mcaffee will conflict with that. Please @samsung sort this sooner rather than later.

Galaxy BooksI don't understand why they try to enforce any thing! This device is mine and I control it. I won't recommend any Samsung product to anyone until this company fix their approach to customers!
Worst decision I made is to use/buy their laptop! I regret it since day one!

Galaxy BooksShame on you, Samsung, for forcing users to install unauthorized software.
My employer owns my laptop, and we use different software for antivirus and security. Now, I have an incident on my file for installing unauthorized software that I didn't even want. Companies should respect users' preferences and the policies set by their employers.
