The touchpad on the right- and left-hand sides, always becomes unresponsive to the single tap (left click command to windows). I can single tap anywhere in this area, and there will be no left click response in Windows. The only way to then send a left click command to windows is to click outside this area (marked in the diagram below and indicated with felt marker on device) OR force click the touchpad.
This causes usability issues with precise movement and when clicking around during productivity work. Especially with nearby text and tables. As I am a right -hand user, and since the touchpad is offset towards the left, I use the right-hand side of the touchpad frequently.
I have been able to replicate this by following these steps:
1. Open Excel or Word.
2. Type a line of text and push enter.
3. Move the cursor slightly (less then 2 inches on screen distance)
4. Single tap in the grey zone, Left click response in windows wont register
5. The only way to alleviate this, is to single tap outside the grey zone or force tap anywhere OR move the cursor 6 inches quickly then tap in grey zone.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers, increased sensitivity to no avail. This is a hardware issue, or an issue with the touchpad drivers.

I have even, sent my laptop to Samsung for them to check. There response, is that it's a settings issue. Completely oblivious. I have even replicated on multiple demo units at BestBuy and showed staff at the Samsung store.

I have even replicated this issue at the BestBuy demo units. 100% a software issue. When Windows touchpad sensitivity is changed to most sensitive, the issue goes away. However, this setting causes many issues with the palm rejection, during typing sessions.

Hi ziom,

We understand how frustrating that must be for you and please accept our sincerest of apologies this matter may have caused to you.

While you're stuck using the "Most Sensitive" setting for better touchpad responsiveness, consider adjusting the palm rejection software by playing with the settings. If the default palm rejection is too aggressive at higher sensitivity levels, you could try disabling or reducing it while relying on external tools like Touchpad Blocker to selectively ignore inputs during typing.

We will definitely consider this as a valuable feedback and forward this to our Developer's team, so that they will prioritize a fix.

Thank you.
