Galaxy NoteJust had same issue, but i had UI4 since some time already, dont know if it was an update or what.
lost all shortcuts. Direct shortcuts to the apps themselves were ok, but All browser shortcuts, no matter what browser, and all shortcuts to files created from apps, My Files, Notion, Solid Explorer.
lost in phone and specially in Samsung Dex were i use shortcuts extensively on desktop.
I tried to use the samsung backup but seems completely useless, it automatically makes backups every 24 hours when i went there it had done a backup just a pair of hours before and i guess the issue had happened before that.
you cant save your own backups, it only lets you make one backup at a time, also cant disable auto backup anywhere (to make sure the backup is of a working configuration) who ever designed a backup system that you cant freeze a copy to make sure it is a working copy?

Galaxy NoteThis just happened to me and I figured out how to restore them
1st. Go to settings menu ⚙️
2nd. Tap on accounts and backup.
3. Tap on restore data.
4. Tap the last backup on the device you wish to restore and choose homescreen option to restore your homescreen shortcuts.
Hope this helps anyone needing to restore homescreen.

Galaxy NoteThe loss of website shortcuts on your homescreen after a UI (User Interface) 4 update could be due to a software bug or a compatibility issue. To restore the website shortcuts, you can follow these steps:
Open the browser app on your device: This can be done by tapping on the browser app icon from your app drawer or homescreen.
Visit the websites you want to add as shortcuts: Open the websites you had previously added as shortcuts before the update.
Add the websites as shortcuts: Once you have opened the websites, tap on the menu icon (usually represented by three dots) and select the option to "Add to Homescreen" or "Create Shortcut". The exact wording may vary depending on your device and browser.
Name the shortcuts: After selecting the option to add the website as a shortcut, you will be prompted to name the shortcut. Enter a descriptive name for the website, such as "Google" or "YouTube".
Place the shortcuts on your homescreen: The website shortcut will now be added to your homescreen, where you can tap on it to quickly open the website in your browser. If needed, you can rearrange the shortcuts on your homescreen by long-pressing on a shortcut and dragging it to a new location.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the website shortcuts on your homescreen after the UI 4 update. If the problem persists, you may want to consider restarting your device, clearing the cache and data of the browser app, or contacting the manufacturer for further assistance.

Galaxy NoteThere are a few troubleshooting steps you can try if you've lost website shortcuts on your home screen after updating to UI 4:
Restart your device: A simple restart can sometimes resolve minor issues with your home screen.
Check your app drawer: The shortcuts may still be in your app drawer, so check there first and add them back to your home screen if necessary.
Re-create the shortcuts: If the shortcuts aren't in your app drawer, try visiting the websites and creating new shortcuts on your homescreen.
Clear your home screen launcher's cache and data: Reset your home screen launcher to its default settings by going to Settings > Apps > [Your Homescreen Launcher] > Storage > Clear Cache/Clear Data. This can often help with missing shortcuts.
