Hi,
I have a SAMSUNG NOTE 20 ULTRA.
I'm really frustrated that my contacts are automatically deleted and end up in the BIN.
This morning, I had to recover 1200 contacts from my Bin.
The message I saw was :

Why is this in the Bin?
Deleted on Samsung - SM N986W.
October 6, 8:47am.

Neither google nor Samsung knows why this is happening. Anyone else facing this issue? Have you found the cause or a solution? Thanks.

Settings > Apps > Contacts > Storage > Clear Cache.

Step 3 : Software Update Kindly check for any new software update on your device.

Also, we request you to generate error report by following below steps:

Tap and hold on samsung Members Icon and tap on Error report >> select the category from the below >> Describe the issue and check the option "send system log data" then send.

An expert from the Samsung Members team will try and respond to the report as quickly as possible.

I did already complete the above steps. Still, I woke up today to find over 1200 of my contacts in the BIN!!
I had to again move them manually from the Bin. But why?

This is the most expensive phone and yet, I have to deal with this manufacturing defect on Note20 ultra!

Hi, we would like to suggest you go to Settings > Apps & click on Gmail or any app that has access to your Contacts, then click on Permissions & Contacts.

You'll have the option to see all other apps that have Contacts access permissions.

Remove the permission for any apps that don't really need to access your Contacts.

OK. But the real question is: how come some contacts are being MOVED to the Bin of the Contacts app without the user doing it? 🤔

Tried it several times.... even the reset of the device. Still after the reset, the contacts ended up in the Bin of the google contacts app today. Had to recover them manually! Screenshot_20221009-112056_Contacts.jpg
