Multi window issue

So I've been having a weird issue with Multi Window on my Note 9 this week. I sometimes drive for Uber and Lyft and use Multi Window to have both apps open at the same time.

During this past week, for some reason Multi Window just stops working for no reason, one of the apps becomes full screen and when I try to launch the app pair, I get a message at the bottom of my screen that says: Can't use the app pair, Multi Window is not available.

Now if I go into Settings/Advanced Features when that happens, I'm unable to select Multi Window, it's disable, sometimes it just starts working on its own after several tries or I have to restart my phone.

My Note 9 is connected to my car via Bluetooth and Android Auto via USB.

This is a really strange issue—does restarting your phone fix the problem every time?

im having the exact issue. I don't think restarting the phone should be a fix, it's obviously a bug and needs to be addressed............ it's becoming more frequent as of late
