Galaxy S- Customizable Quick Panel: The Quick Panel is receiving a major overhaul, allowing users to move, resize, or remove toggles, sliders, and widgets. Brightness and volume sliders can also be configured vertically or horizontally.
- Updated Galaxy AI: One UI 8.5 is expected to add more AI features, including advanced photo editing tools to remove unwanted objects and smarter suggestions. A feature to summarize notifications is also rumored.
- Refreshed UI: Several system apps, such as Gallery, Phone, and Settings, will receive a visual redesign with more rounded corners and larger spacing. Some icons will get a more three-dimensional look.
- Enhanced Samsung DeX: For power users, the DeX desktop experience is getting an upgrade. It will allow for up to four separate desktops, making multitasking easier.
- New lock screen effects: Users will find new clock styles for the lock screen and a transition effect for the media player when skipping songs.
- Family sharing: A "Family Device Sharing" feature will allow users to create family groups via their Samsung account to share files, photos, payments, and location.
- Smarter network switching: The system will automatically determine the best network connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) and switch seamlessly between them.
- Camera updates: The camera app is expected to receive significant updates, including support for cinematic color presets (LUT profiles), 3D spatial recording for VR headsets, and reorganized video settings.
- Return of Samsung Cloud: Samsung Cloud is reportedly making a comeback as an option for backing up photos in the Gallery app, in a departure from the previous Microsoft OneDrive integration.
- Other tweaks: Additional changes include moving search bars to the bottom of the screen in some apps for easier one-handed use, redesigned battery menus, and improved protection for sensitive information in images.
