Is there a capability that would allow me to block the name "unknown" specifically? I feel like the spammers are getting through the call block feature because they are using the name "unknown" as a *** when spoofing calls. More specifically they've named themselves "unknown" as the name so its technically Not an unknown number. Can we get a security patch that addresses this? I've tried to add "unknown" as a contact then tried to block that, but it only works with the assigned number. Thoughts?

Just search block calls and it'll pop up in settings. 1740711921659.jpg1740711921671.jpg

I tried that, but unknown calls still get through. My argument is that the name unknown is being used as the name itself i.e. instead using a name like "Robert" as the caller id name, the *** would be to use "unknown" as the callers id, which the theoretically allows them to bypass the block countermeasures. So i am asking ifcwe can specifically block any call with the USER NAME "unknown"? Makes sense? Maybe?

Hi KobbsMDS,

We understand your concern about spammers using "Unknown" as a caller ID name to bypass traditional blocking methods. At this time, Samsung's built-in blocking features primarily allow users to block calls based on phone numbers or those without caller ID, but not based on a specific caller name.

We appreciate your suggestion, and we encourage you to submit this as a feature request through the Samsung Members app under Support > Send Feedback > Suggestions. Your input helps us improve our products and enhance security measures.

Additionally, we recommend checking with your mobile carrier, as many providers offer advanced spam filtering that may help with this issue.

Thank you.
