after updating, my device doesn't ask for a password even when I have pin & fingerprints enabled, please help!

yes but I'm not in the location that smart lock is supposed to work

Hey @iShak make sure Settings > Lockscreen and Security > Secure Lock > Lock instantly with power key is ENABLED. Also disable Smart Lock from the same screen, as your location may not be accurate.
