I have been using my new galaxy S22 Ultra for a week now. Not happy with the battery performance. It drains out super fast with normal usage. My previous s20 Fe 5g was far more superior in terms of battery longevity. Is anyone facing the same problem????

I have the exact same problem.  My Galaxy S20 plus had great battery life even after 2 years.  Now I have the S22 Ultra and the battery drains extremely fast.  It's terrible.  One of the reasons I bought this phone was for the longer battery life.  I barely use the phone and its always almost dead by mid-day.  I work all day!!  I barely use the phone.

Yes!!! I am so grossly disappointed!  I even returned it and got another thinking I got a faulty phone.  I have always loved SAMSUNG products but this 22 ultra has me thinking of alternatives.   I am so upset about this battery issue.

Hi @stephjdej, we are sorry to hear you've had this issue.

I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Yes, even I expect good battery life and bought this device

but it is pathetic, not even run a day. almost at evening I have to charge it again on moderate use. 5hr screen on Time is nothing for 5000 mAh battery. Even OnePlus 10 Pro gives 7hr SoT with same battery. I am not using s-pen, not using any games just normal day to day usage with little social media.

Samsung should look into this on PRIORITY

Hello! I noticed the battery drain has happened to me and I was frustrated. However, it's been a month and the phone stopped draining battery. With that said, I would give the phone a month to adapt to your usage patterns. They said 2 weeks but it took me 1 month. Let me know after 1 month if the phone has adjusted.

No back up phone and no one at Samsung actually cares about the customer even when they sell a faulty producut ..not on and i advise anyone with these problems please fight it even go to consumer affairs

I think this is just a more general Samsung issue, battery performance has never been Samsung's strong suit. I love the features of my S22 Ultra, but it has woeful battery in comparison to my iPhone 14 Pro. It feels like I am forever charging my S22 but I can leave my iPhone off charge for a couple of days even though I use my iPhone more. Please note, I never have either on any battery saving settings as I prefer to have maximum performance on tap the same way as I have it on my M1 Macbook Air.

Samsung could you please invest in better battery technology and better battery management software that doesn't degrade the usability and performance of the phone?
