After using Keys Cafe to customize the Simplified Chinese keyboard, clicking the symbol button in the lower left corner of the keyboard (pic1) takes you to the 3x4 numeric keypad (pic2), and then I have to click the symbol button again to switch to the Symbol Keyboard.  I can't turn off this annoying 3x4 keypad no matter what.

The "Numbers & Symbols" item in the keyboard settings has been set to "Full Keyboard" (pic3). I've tested it, when Keys Cafe is turned off, clicking the symbol button on the CHS keyboard takes you directly to the Symbol Keyboard, without the 3x4 keypad. When Keys Cafe is on, clicking on the symbol key in the keyboard of other languages does not bring up the 3x4 keypad either. Only the CHS keyboard has the annoying situation described above.

This is a very strange and annoying problem, I hope engineers can fix it. For example, let Keys Cafe provide an option to switch on and off the 3x4 keypad and support customization of the 3x4 keypad. Thanks.

Try changing it to "language dependent" in "numbers and symbols." Mine is working fine with keys Café turned on.

Hi Ritel,

Please try the suggestion given by IvanWang by changing it to "language dependent" in "numbers and symbols and see if it works for you.

Thank you IvanWang.

Thanks for your reply!  I tried the solution IvanWang suggested, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

I found that not only CHS, but also CHT and Japanese keyboard has similar problem.

When in Japanese 3x4 input method, if you tap symbol key, the keyboard doesn't seem to change at all. Tap again, it switches to symbol keyboard.

In CHS or CHT, in all types of keyboard, the 3x4 num keypad will appear.

Note: These issues only occur when the corresponding keyboard configuration is created and applied.

It seems that the symbol key in KeysCafe behave differently from the system default symbol key in terms of processing logic, leading to these strange conflicts.

What's more, I have a suggestion that, in languages that don't have a caps key, I can add one when editing the keyboard.
