Samsung what the hell man what is this awful awful mic quality. I was at a music festival last night with lots of heavy bassy music and the audio quality on the videos I took are so BAD and distorted. Whereas my friends with iPhones have perfect audio quality on their videos. This is so SAD for samsung and is giving me more reasons to leave this brand. Get you stuff together!!

Hi, we recommend you to try to perform a diagnostic test on Mic from Samsung Members app.

STEP 1. Open Samsung Members.

STEP 2. Tap on Diagnostics.

STEP 3. Tap on Test hardware.

STEP 4. Choose the Mic to check and optimize the performance.

And also Remove anything plugged into the headphone jack, including selfie sticks, etc .

As well as any attached phone cases.

Additionally, remove any third-party cases, protective films, skins, adhesives, or any other accessory that usually comes in contact with your phone.

Kindly get back to us if the issue still persists.

I have done all of these. The diagnostic function literally only tests if the mic is working or not. My mic is working, its just that in very loud environments it cannot clearly pickup audio and it becomes extremely distorted and low in quality. Other people are having similar issues. Instead of giving us solutions that you KNOW don't help fix your phones! My friends iPhones perfectly recorded the same audio without any distortion

Which third party app? What do you mean the third party app that is causing this issue??
What is causing this issue is either my phone's mic or samsung's horrible camera app
