Hello Samsung members. I have 2 LG TV's in my household. Ones is a newer smart TV, another older plasma TV with a Google Chromcast. I used to cast videos from my phone to both TV. When tapping on the cast button while video is playing, both used to show up on the list of devices available for casting. This is my new S21 ultra. Google Chromcast no longer shows up on the list of devices to cast from my Netflix app. Just as of yesterday, I googled online that Netflix account now has to be linked through Google Home app to be able to cast on the Chromcast. So I did linked it. However Chromcast still does not show on the list of devices available for casting on my Netflix app. But I can cast Spotify from my phone to Chromcast which suggest that the phone and the Chromcast are connected. So how do I cast Netflix from my S21 ultra to Google Chromcast again?

P.s. my old S10+ and new Samsung tablet S6 light still give the option to cast on both devices.

Hi JV11,

Please perform the clear cache of the Netflix app.
Go to Settings> Apps> Select the Netflix app> Storage> Clear cache.

Then, verify the app updates in the play store and make sure that the Netflix app is updated to the latest version.

Uninstall and reinstall the Netflix app. Navigate to and open the Play Store, and then search for and select Netflix. Select Uninstall, and then select Uninstall again to confirm. Once the app has been uninstalled, you can install it again by tapping Install. Try using the Netflix app again.

Note: Deleting the Netflix app will also delete any titles you have downloaded to the device.

Hi Halston, as you suggested, I cleared cache, and am trying to update the app. The cursor keeps spooling = update pending. Finally updated and the unistall button appeared. After I click to unistall it uninstalls updates only and takes me back to "open-update" screen. I update and uninstall. It goes on circles without deleting the app. I tried to find the uninstall button by tapping on the app on the home screen but it gives only remove option. Is there another way to unistall it?

Edit: I performed security updates for my device. Not sure if that helped, but my Netflix app now using Google Chromcast for casting. I am still unable to uninstall the app, but the original issue is solved. Thank you.
