Galaxy S
coming from a note4. I've used this feature(pop up multitask windows) a lot for conversing with friends while playing games and other stuff. I recently replaced my note4 for an S8+ with this feature being one of its main selling points to me. with that said, I can't seem to get it to work the way it does on the note4. for example. let's say I'm playing a game while having a messaging app as a pop up window similar to the screenshot.
on the note4. both the game and the messaging app run in realtime. meaning I could have the game run it's animations while I converse with friends and receive messages while having it open but not the main focused task.
on the s8 currently. if I tap on the chat client. all animations freeze. And if I'm on the game. the chat client won't update at all. I'll get messages that appear as a notification on the top bar but the opened client won't update till I tap on it to make it the focus.
I've tried looking all over for a solution but I haven't found one. So if there is a solution someone posted, or you know how to resolve this issue of mine. I'd be very grateful.
p.s. in developer settings. if I turn in multiprocess webview. it's possible to have the browser always active. But the chat client will still freeze up when not main focus. So I do believe there is a way to have everything always active.
