I'm experiencing a very frustrating issue with my Samsung S24 Ultra, which I purchased about a month ago. After a recent software update, my phone randomly minimizes apps to the background and returns to the Home screen. This happens while I'm actively using apps like Outlook, YouTube, and Google Maps in Navigation mode. I can bring the app back by pressing the Recent Apps button, but this shouldn't be happening.
I'm using the screen protector that came with the phone, so I'm not sure if that's contributing to the problem, but it feels like the Home button is being randomly pressed. I'm concerned that this might be a software bug related to the update, or possibly a hardware defect.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? What troubleshooting steps can I take? If this is a hardware problem, what is the process for checking for defects or initiating a warranty claim?
Thanks for your help.

I found the solution for my phone.  It was the Microsoft Launcher.  I disabled it and and used the Samsung One UI and the minimizing apps stopped happening.

I don't have the Microsoft launcher installed, and the issue continues after the UI 7.0 update and the May update.

I have the same issue on my s24+. It's not a software issue it's the lazy Samsung software engineers who half arse their quality control. I've had it then it got fixed, then since last update is happening again. It's Samsung being their usual useless selves. This is on a stock phone, no screen projector, default launcher. Absolutely garbage
