Took Google long enough to submitted an GSMA standard profile long enough. Since 2018 this was promised by them to be completed before end of 2019. Google went their own path leaving Samsung whom actually created RCS from the get go sharing the code to Google behind. That's why in 2024 you've seen Google pushing and Samsung settling with not including Samsung Messages in both the 2024 Z Flip/Fold 6 models nor the S24 !
That's a cheeo shot, they share with Google only to be stabbed in the back, & yet they still work with them, if i was incharge i would have never done that,i would have made certain that my products work with my o.s & use my products & find a way to eclipse the competition. It's a shame really. Samsung has the experience that Google dosent but Google has all the information now on how to make it work, so what 's stopping Google from slowly sinking Samsung by sabotaging there programs through the o.s platform. It's not impossible.

Google original chat messaging app was not named Google Messages. After collaboration for RCS from Googles acquisition that's when they changed the app name.
Google has already started: Convincing Samsung not to preload Samsung Messages on Flip 6 and Fold 6 in North America last summer.
Android 14 beta had a desktop mode which will finally be ready in Android 16.
Secure Folder - by a different name implemented in Android 16.
We've already seen the duplicate of My Files done.
Also scanning of Tags - yes Google and Apple collaborated yet Smasung has their own can but you have to search for it.
Unfortunately we'll keep seeing the soul of Samsung disappear unless their executives and directors and producer managers get their act together. :(
I don't blame Samsung, i figure Google has manipulated it to there advantage. Samsung in it's self is reliable, but when there dealing with a competitor as a partner, it's not going to advantage Samsung. The cheao shot is Google taking the product & claiming they own all the rights to it when it wasn't there's to start with. If Samsung came out with the idea & product first then shares the information all credit's should go to Samsung not Google.
I'm glad we're seeing Google as a monopoly by its very definition of practicing anti-competitive behavior like tactics. Boggles my mind that the US is taking so long to put a stop to this while the EU has a hard on focusing only on Apple. I do know the reason why government lobbying leads to protection or a blind eye. When it becomes too much of a public outcry then back office meetings occur with negotiates for least punitive compromises that still allow for maximum control, power, and, of course, profits. This, of course, is not obvious to the majority public (oblivious), shows all governments are corrupt: lobbying always leads to this as those elected or selected or sworn to act for their citizens all succumb to ...
