  • Hello friends,

After 2 days of testing my brand new s20 plus I am struggling to determine whether I am experiencing a hardware or software issue with the main camera on the back.

This is the second s20+ i own, the old one did not have this issue.

Every time I use the main camera it stars blurring and flickering in green or yellow then shutsdown or restarts.

I have taken two videos of this from screen recording and recording with another phone.

Phone is under warranty but i want to determine if it can be fixed via patches before having to return it.

Hi INSTAKILLA_, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Samsung is aware that a limited number of Galaxy S20 Ultra users are experiencing a greenish issue that may appear under limited conditions.

Samsung is scheduled to release a new software soon to resolve this symptom. Samsung encourages users to keep software and apps updated to the latest version.

It's recommended that you use the device's screen refresh rate at 60Hz before releasing the new software.

For this, go to Settings and tap Display > Motion smoothness.

Then choose the Standard refresh rate(60Hz).

Samsung is committed to providing the best possible device experience to customers.

The screen of the phone is OK, I have switched to 60hz, this does not resolve the issue. The issue is with the main camera. Also it's the s20 plus, not ultra. Have you seen the videos I made? This is a hardware faulty on main camera, I just wanted confirmation on it, in warranty, they said they will swap it for a new one for me.
