I am having a defective problem with the device as the power button has just came off randomly. I have contacted Samsung Customer Service previously and was suggested to go to one of the recommended service locations for Samsung. I requested a ticket for the appointment, went to service person..  they did not properly inspect my phone and could not deem whether it was physical damage or a defect. They claimed that it could be considered physical damage and thereby, not valid against the manufacturer's warranty (Samsung).  What they also said was, my case was a very rare one because the phone hasn't had that issue before.  I was only advised by the person that they would have to look into the part itself and that, it might cost a bit considering a replacement set comes with the screen and all the side buttons.

So, why would I want to consider paying for a defective power button that came off for the possible price of a whole screen replacement?

I am at a loss for words.  All I've been getting is the runaround of going from one thing to another.  I wish I had bought the extended protection plan service but who even thinks a premium based phone is going to lose a power button out of the blue?

What irks me even further is the fact that the service request was cancelled, so I don't know what exactly is happening until the person contacts me.  In other words, no solution.  Very disappointing customer service all around, Samsung.

Hi Samsung_vZ9fkDT, I suggest you to book another appointment and visit the authorized service center. It can only be determined by a qualified technician after the physical diagnosis of the phone.

In a JerryRigEverything video he popped out the power button, but was able to click it back in. Have you tried inserting it back into the phone and pressing it into place?

The unfortunate part is, the button disappeared on me while I was going about my day so I don't have it to even put back in :(
