My new S21 ultra stopped receiving a mobile signal. I thought something was wrong with the SIM card, brought it into my carrier and changed the SIM card, the same issue persisted. After bringing the phone to a Samsung repair center to run diagnostics. They said there was an issue with the motherboard, this is the second Samsung flagship phone that I have had this issue with, the other one was the S10 plus. The estimated wait time to have this fixed is 2 to 3 weeks.
I called Samsung customer support to ask what they would do for me as a loyal customer, and their response was that they would fix the phone free of charge. Wow!!!! that is what every other phone company in the world would do, a 12-month warranty on defective products is standard with all electronics. I have had Samsung TVs, smartwatches, tablets, and smartphones since I was in my early 20's. I told the Samsung customer service representative that if there wasn't anything they could do for me I would think long and hard about ever buying another Samsung product. After being on the phone for 45 minutes and talking to 3 different people that was all they would give me, a big fat nothing for a defective phone worth $1,600 dollars. If they had offered me a $10 dollar voucher for another Samsung product in the first 5 minutes I would have been happy.
I am going to stop seeking out Samsung products, I have already bought a Sony tv to go with my PlayStation and will avoid buying any other Samsung products after this episode. A company that had record profits in 2021 and doesn't care about their customers!
