I received the latest update to my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I can now longer have an audio stream via Bluetooth to my car radio. Worked perfect prior to the update. I tried Spotify, YouTube Music, Audible and Smart Audiobook Player. I can connect to the radio and it shows track information, but no audio is heard. Pausing the track only works for a moment, then it starts playing again, with no audio. It is not a volume issue.

I have rebooted the phone. I have deleted the Bluetooth pairing and paired the phone to the radio again. Same results.

Hi @nono46,

this can be due to compatibility of your S21's Bluetooth software to that of your vehicle, as mobile devices are updated more frequently than cars.

I would first suggest checking if your car needs a firmware update. These are usually released on the website of your car manufacturer. The method to update a car will vary by manufacturer, you may need to search for a guide on the manufacturer's website.

I don't think so this is related to the car software. Btw, my car is not a BMW. Connections with my Galaxy Bud2 is also not stable after the update. Keeps disconnecting with my phone constantly. Definitely a bug in the software. Why would the issues arise after an update then?

  • This has happened to me as well, as soon as I updated to the March 1st software update I began having issues, support has suggested reseting network connections - this worked briefly, they then suggested a factory reset as it could be a problem with the update not loading properly. Hoping the next update will fix itinstead of reseting my phone to scratch

I have the same exact problem.  Used to work seamlessly with all previous Samsung s models.  With S22 ultra after the update , 7 have this exact problem.  Once in a while after some disconnecting-connecting it works, but not always.  Very painful.  Any known date for this fix or any reliable workaround ?

I have this exact same issue, Samsunsung Galaxy S22. The phone connects to the head unit for Calls and Contacts, but not Audio. I have deleted the connection on both the phone and head unit, reset network settings, cleared bluetooth cache and data.... Occasionally after this whole process it connects Audio once, but as soon as I turn the car off then back on, its back to the same issue.

I've just spent over an hour on the phone to a Samsung tech and have suggested they need to investigate the fault and fix it in an upcoming software update.

SAMSUNG, PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP AS ITS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!

Hi there, if updating the firmware on both devices did not resolve your issue, I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

I have also exactly the same problems. The bluetooth connections drops during telephone calls, most of the times turning off and on the bluetooth on the phone will reconnect, but not allways.

I experience these drops in 5 different cars.
